Turks Turban (Cucurbita maxima)
This Squash or Gourd is mainly grown for its ornamental value although the flesh is edible. Plants produce a heavy yield of 20-25cm across distinctively turban shaped fruits in brilliant shades of red/orange, white and green. The most striking looking of all the decorative Gourds, retaining their colour for years. Vines require at least 2 metres of space. (100 days)
